Cleanroom lifting challenges at VCCN Symposium on June 17

On June 17, 2026, Danny van Deuzen will present a lecture at the National Symposium Contamination Control. He is Commercial Director at Mennens Cleanroom Cranes and specialises in lifting solutions for controlled environments.

The lecture will be held in Dutch and focuses on lifting solutions in cleanrooms and their impact on cleanliness, precision and process stability.

About the VCCN Symposium

The VCCN Symposium brings together professionals from high-tech, pharma and microelectronics. The programme focuses on current challenges in contamination control.

The event is organised by the Dutch Society for Contamination Control (VCCN). This Netherlands-based organisation is a knowledge platform for professionals working in controlled environments. It focuses on sharing knowledge and best practices in cleanroom technology and process control. The symposium is held in Dutch.

The symposium brings together multiple disciplines, from air handling to process design. This creates a comprehensive view of the factors that determine cleanroom performance.

Lecture: lifting solutions in cleanrooms

As part of the programme, Danny van Deuzen will present a lecture on lifting solutions. The focus is on application within controlled environments.

Lifting systems have a direct impact on cleanroom performance. Movement can lead to particle generation, disruption of airflow and unwanted vibrations.

The lecture covers:
•  The behaviour of lifting systems in cleanrooms.
•  Technical choices to minimise contamination.
•  Controlled and repeatable movement.

Practical information

The symposium will take place on June 17, 2026 at Congrescentrum Spant in Bussum, the Netherlands. Attendees can join multiple parallel sessions throughout the day.

More information and registration are available via the VCCN website: Nationaal symposium contamination control 2026
Please note that the symposium is conducted entirely in Dutch.

Stainless steel vs coated steel in cleanroom cranes

Material selection in cleanroom cranes is often underestimated. Choosing the wrong material can introduce contamination risks, increase system weight or result in unnecessary costs in highly controlled environments.

The choice between stainless steel and coated steel may seem straightforward at first, but is highly dependent on the application. Material selection directly impacts cleanliness, contamination risk, costs and process reliability in controlled environments.
