Lead Engineer

Do you know how to get the best out of yourself? As Lead Engineer you are one of the players within a multidisciplinary team working on challenging projects in lifting and hoisting for clean room and controlled environment.

The Engineering department consists of several development teams. As Lead Engineer you focus on the development of parts of (new to be developed) cranes and everything related to this. You are responsible for clarifying and translating the specific customer demand into functional solutions. You do research, test and validate to make sure you meet the customer demand. You work closely with the Technical Project Leader who focuses on the development of new cranes. Together you know how to come up with innovative designs. So that we stay ahead in a market that is in full swing.

As a Lead Engineer

• Translate the specific customer request into an appropriate (functional and technical) design.
• Be "in the lead" in finding the right solution: from research to concept, design and validation.
• Take care of the elaboration of the technical plan, make calculations, (sketch) designs, working drawings and descriptions.
• Keep track of all ongoing (sub) projects and monitor work performed against project scope and schedule.
• Are continuously working on process and product improvements.
• Challenge yourself and your teammates to come up with (even better) creative and reliable solutions.
• Work closely with the System Architect, Technical Project Manager and other technical disciplines and departments.
